I wanted to do some example of audiorate modulation on a triangle wave where the rising part would be deformed by a log shaper and the falling part would be deformed be an exp shaper. To switch from one to the other, I figured I could use a square wave as flip flop toggle but I noticed the switching time would actually not be always the same when holding a note, even though all the oscillators would be slaved to a master with the same ratio. . So I did this little patch test that mixes the outpout of a square and a tri and if you look at the output on a scope you'll see that indeed the shape is evolving over time which makes me think the oscillators are not perfectly syncronised. Has anybody encountered the same behaviour or know what exactly happens ? . On a side note, I would like to use a real square (and not a BW limited oscillator) to do the audio rate switching... is there any way to achieve this ? [/Notes]
