G2 Keyboard for sale Subject description: Update: removed from market May 22, 2006. |
 |
|
Had it now for a year and a half. To be honest, I've hardly played the thing - I just don't think modular synthesis is really my thing. I'm so much more into playing guitar and recording real instruments. Not to say that I think the G2 is not brilliant - its amazing, but I feel I could put the money I spent on it to better use.
I'm based in the UK, London - East Finchley to be exact. The UK price when I bought it new was £1350. Its still around the same price. It doesn't have an expansion, but I do have the original box, original USB cable, well-kept manual and willing to throw in a few midi and audio cables.
My asking price is £1000. Price is negotiable.
I can get it sent by courier at your cost anywhere in the world. If you're in London, you're welcome to come round to test it for yourself - just drop me an email ( ekimeno@btinternet.com ) or call to arrange a time (07913 423 368).
Regards
Mike
PS - if this is not the place to sell a 2nd hand G2, please let me know

I moved the topic to the Help Wanted forum, but left a link in the Nord Modular discussion. Looks like a good opportunity for someone to pick up a nice G2 for a decent price. _________________ --Howard

Thanks Howard.
Its been a couple of days now that I've had this synth for sale, and although I have had a few good offers, I've decided that my life will not be complete without it. I'm keeping the G2.
Cheers
Mike

No, we don't remove very many threads. This site is sort of a running history. I'll just mark the first post...
I think you made a smart move. When I bought my G2X I sold my G2. I wish I had it back. _________________ --Howard

This keyboard is so very hard for me to get the hang of, but taking the time to learn how it works is so much fun.
I have a love/hate relationship with my G2 - the saga continues! |

If you got a big modular system you'd feel the same way, but you'd have spent a lot more money. Modular synthesis can be overwhelming, but after a while you'll get the knack of it. Unlike a real modular, you can save your patches and pick up where you left off. _________________ --Howard

i ripped mine out the box, plugged it in, turned it on, fiddled for about an hour. i turned it off and it sat there for about a month without me touching it as i tried to decide where to start.
it wasn't the modularity, as i'd dealt with modular before. it was getting my head around just how cool the hardware interface was and how the hell i'd begin to exploit it that had me so excited i just couldn't go near the thing for fear of my head exploding. whenever i caught sight of it i just went wide eyed and giggled. |
