Back when I had a micro to play with, I remember doing some basic pitch tracking of guitar. I think it involved some filtering/compressing and then syncing an oscillator. Has anyone been messing with this?

I have a bass playing friend that is in the market for a new synthy processing toy, and the G2 might break his budget, so i was thinking of setting him up with a micro.

any experiences?

Keed vd Maarel had a good one IIRC, dee http://nm-archives.electro-music.com/010_NordModular/011_Patches/Maarel_Kees_van_der/ and search for the word pitch on that page for the final version.
