setup help

so i just bought a nord micro. i have never setup my own synth before and i obviously screwed it up. i have a midiman 2x2 (as you guys recommended). i setup the driver and i think the comp recognizes it even though it keeps asking me to install. the light is on for the usb and in-a but no other lights.
i can here the patches that are in the memory of the micro. i cant here anything i make using the editor.
what did i do wrong. maybe it is how the ins and the out s go.

hello,

1) always connect midi out to midi in and vice versa.
2) you have to upload patches from the editor to the micro (i think there is an option within the editor to automate this?)
