Thought I'd do a little sample selector app that would enable me to select samples on the Electribe SX from a monome. The Electribe accepts NRPNs for selecting samples, but I ran into a little inconstency between the description of NRPN on the NRPN entry in Wikipedia and the description in the Electribe manual and MIDI spec (downloadable from here).

The wikipedia entry says that you first send the most significant byte of the controller identifier is sent on MIDI CC 98/0x62, then you send the LSB over 99/0x63. The Electribe manual, however, states that you send the LSB over 0x62 and then the MSB over 0x63. Trying both of these methods out, I find that the Electribe manual is correct as far as the operation of the Electribe is concerned.

So, is the Wikipedia description wrong, or have Korg made an error in their spec? I can still get it to work, since it's just a matter of flipping the bytes over, but it would be interesting to know how it is supposed to work nevertheless.

I'm attaching the ChucK source for my controller in case anyone's interested.

/Stefan
