Nord Lead velocity programming Subject description: we're not getting it to work, is it that hard? |
 |
|
Hi,
this might seem a bit dumb but for some reason we are not able to get the velocity dependency working.
It should be fairly easy.
1. parameter for minimum value.
2. press active set button in Velocity/Morph section
3. set maximum value
4. press Velocity/morph again
5. turn knob back to minimum
However this seems not to work??? Can anyone help. Does any function or program have to be turned on? Did we forget anything? Any other options that might cause problems?
Shift function 'external velocity/Morph' is turned on.
3 people tried it, none got it to work.
Strange thing is, it worked before.
Could anyone advise please.
Thanks a lot,
Tino |

Be sure the Wheel destination isn't set to Morph!

Velocity assigning to any parameter...
There are several ways to do this.
1 as written in the Manual.
Using [Shift+LFO1 wave form] shows the values of the parameter, so it can be set exactly back. Move the knob very slowely at first and substract 1 or 2 values to know the original setting (when increasing the value, of course...)
2 using the Wheel: activate the Velocity edit mode by pressing the button - Set the Wheel assign to Morph and open it full - change the parameter which has to be controlled by Velocity - Set the Wheel to any other destination.
3 after the Manual step 3 save the Program and open the Program again

I forgot to mention it's a Nord Rack not a Nord Lead. So there is no wheel. |

Thanks a lot I'll give 1 and 3 a try. Should work the same on a Nord Rack, shouldn't it? |

When Wheel>Morph, the Morph/Velocity is destinated to the incomming Wheel data of the contoler or sequencing software. The Morph is the controller of the Velocity, so when the Wheel is destinated to Morph there is no Velocity possible. Be sure the destination is not Wheel>Morph, but Wheel> any of the other 4!
