Hi everyone,

Does anyone with a Nord Modular G1/Classic or Micro have time to record two supplied patches dry? A small recording fee is available, by agreement before you start.

The attached ~600 KB pack contains the exact .pch files, MIDI clips and a short README. Please start with NativeVoice, then Sportmod. Each MIDI clip plays one note for 0.5 seconds: note 76 for NativeVoice, note 64 for Sportmod, velocity 100.

Please record both physical outputs separately, ideally 24-bit/96 kHz (best effort is welcome), with no effects, EQ, normalization, compression or noise gate. Keep a couple of seconds before and after, avoid clipping, and note the hardware model, OS/editor version, voice count, output level and interface settings. Please load the files unchanged; if a file fails to load, report that rather than rewriting it. Sportmod is LFO-driven, so note-off need not silence it.

This is a hardware comparison for a research renderer. The included reference WAVs come from original firmware running under an assumed clock/DAC model; they are not hardware recordings or evidence of a match. First I want to compare pitch and envelope timing, then spectrum. Separate listening copies remove only a fixed DC offset; the original reference files are untouched.

Please reply here if you can help, including your setup and proposed fee. Thanks!
