I'm all set up for streaming the recording Shane sent me - it will be streamed on Shane's port - 8074.
Edit: updated the schedule for that. _________________ Jan

My plan is to interact with the equipment via knobs, switches, (etc.) with minimal keyboard input:

. Elektron Octatrack MKII
. Kurzweil K2600
This week has been quite an experience here in the studio. I have done a lot of troubleshooting, soldering, yet the issues have gone on without end. However, I am determined not to cancel again and so, well -- I am pressing on.
Well, I won't be using the Elektron this time -- I discovered that while I've used it in the past, I have gotten "rusty" with it and I am back on the Octatrack's notorious learning curve.
I wanted to do some clocked work however my Looperlative mysteriously stopped sending the MIDI reset command (from which I sync up my sequencers and clock dividers). Well, Bob Amstadt came to the rescue with a software update however the way the MIDI start command works now is different from how it used to work and I'm not ready to perform with it.
In the meantime, I keep running into little nits -- scratchy pots, etc ... and at one point I just laid on the couch (exhausted) for over an hour today.
While I have approached ambient music in the past, my plan is to do something very meditative and ambient this time. I will utilize the K2600 and the modular synth and think I can keep things simple enough that I won't fall on my face.
I am looking forward to tomorrow however will likely be getting last minute things in place right up to the performance time. _________________ -- Kevin http://kevinkissinger.com

Again, thank you for organizing, creating a beautiful banner, testing, switching and your motivating comments: It was a pleasure to listen and perform!
This time I used the Morphagene module from Make Noise to improvise on a recording of me reading the poem "When Stars Are in the Quiet Skies" by Edward Bulwer-Lytton.

Here is the recording of my set as I intended it to be heard.
It turns that while I included my looper's output on my monitor, I inadvertantly did not include it on the stream. In other words, what you heard was my playing WITHOUT the looper. There were a number of really thin sections that would have been covered by the looped material.
Fortunately, I hadn't changed my looper's settings and was able to add the looper track to the original and mix it for you.
Well, if you liked what you heard on the stream you will probably like this mix better.
Thank you for the opportunity to participate and to the stream operators, performers, and listeners for making this a rewarding event.
And my set ... removed a couple of loud firework bangs (had the mic open at certain times), and shortened the intro a bit to make it last about 1 hour.
This was made with a couple of Wren patches - and the microphone was on for a bit of fireworks at the start and end.

Here is my set for NYE 2021. I had a few streaming issues with butt dropping the connection and I had to restart that a few times. When I restarted butt I don't think it was recording on the main left/right channels out from my mixer so the recording made by butt did not included a lot of the other instruments played. Thankfully I was simulcasting to Twitch and that recording had everything recorded. So this is from the Twitch recording. There is a video of the set up on my you tube channel as well. https://youtu.be/q5zGNy-6c7I
Thanks to all stream ops and testers, Jan, robsol, and Phobos for helping me.

Nice track, Jan. And amazing that you did it all with a couple of Wren patches!
While listening it sounded like you had a battery of samplers, sequencers, and synthesizers. _________________ -- Kevin http://kevinkissinger.com
