Chris,

Thanks for posting that. The video really sums it up. The cost seems fairly reasonable but did not find out how much each programmable face was. For a business, they would have to be priced fairly cheap to make any kind of profit. BUT, for brewing your own FX pedals, it would be very interesting and rewarding. This would probably open up all sort of user groups where folks can share code also. I am sure there are extensive DSP libraries so you don't have to reinvent things.

Just a few comments ....

Bill

Line 6's prices seem to be very fair so I can't imagine the blank module being some crazy price, but you never know...

I really hand it to them for going this route and saying outright people can start there own companies etc etc and sell there own designs. I understand they will make money off each blank sold but I can't think of other big manufacturer's who do anything similiar.

Bottom line I know I will have fun with this so I am definately in.

http://line6.com/tonecore/modules.html

Line 6 also currently sells the docks (mono and stereo) and the modules for each of there available pedals, again the prices seem fair....

Quick look seems majority sell for approx $29.99 and go up to $69.99 (delay and reverb)...
