How to win over the opposite sex with electronic music... |
 |
|
I don't know much (or anything really) about electronic music, but I have the job of making a mix cd (High Fidelity-style) for someone. I've never posted on this forum before, but I'm hoping someone here might find it a bit fun to give advice on this sorta thing...
So obvi this is for an electronic music fan, and I want new music, and (ideally) good music... And I'd REALLY like anyone's advice, about putting together a cd that was a cohesive set, or just some new tracks that I should include that you all like. Really, any advice at all. Seriously.
Anyways, my knowledge of this person's taste is that it is pretty wide, they were a big fan of a lot of stuff at detroit music festival, and a cursory glance through the cds in their car includes: (and no judgment - its not my taste so can't really defend it) ratatat, aphex twin, radioactive man, girl talk and diplo, some cds just devoted to dirty acid electro and baltimore breaks, etc... let's hope this is enough to go on...
Thanks all |

I think just the act of taking the time to make a CD gift like this is a good idea. It should be appreciated.
The best think, IMHO, would be to make the music yourself, but maybe you aren't into that.
Another suggestion is to order our electro-music 2007 sampler CD. I'm sure it will be appreciated. All of the music on it will be unheard by her, probably. Also, you'll support our site a little, and you will be very cool.

Hmmm... may I suggest that you also invest in this:

You can't beat that comp for the price and it's all in a good cause. And a great tribute to a fantastic instrument maker. _________________ My music: here! |
