Subject description: It's as if the keyboard isn't even connected.

As the subject of this thread makes evident, I'm trying to connect an M-Audio Keystation Pro-88 to Reason 4. I installed the drivers and everything and open Reason, turn on the keyboard, and go to Edit>Preferences>Keyboards and Control Surfaces. It won't auto detect it, and if I try to add it manually it still can't find it.

Any suggestions?

try adding a generic keyboard to Reason. the keyboard is connected via USB? try another cable? does it need a power supply or it is USB powered?
btw welcome to electro-music.com Very Happy

If this is OS X, then perhaps take a look in the Midi Setup app?

I'm running Windows Vista 32-bit. My friend got his Line 6 TonePort KB37 hooked up just fine, and Reason was able to autodetect that.

I dunno, are you sure you have the right drivers? Can the M-Audio Enigma application see the keyboard?

Yes, Enigma sees the keyboard. There is something in Engima that says Presets, and I wonder if I'm supposed to be using Enigma along with Reason to get it to work? I don't really know...

you need Enigma only to set up the keyboard but you don't need it to use it along with Reason or any other application.

I got it working! Enigma got it set up for me and then Reason auto-detected it. Thanks for the help!
