hi all,
i just have a problem with the guys from cynthia. i order a zeroscillator at nov 2007. they told me that this will take about three weeks.
so i tried to contact them many times (about 5-6), but i never get back a response.
i live in europe, berlin, so i don't now what can i do to get my order, or the amount of more then 1000 $!!
any suggestions will be much appreciated?
this is the last e-mail that i get from cynthia:

We are still building your Zeroscillator
and it will take a about two or three more weeks,
(they're quite a sophisticated instrument and they take
a bit more time than an average module to assemble and
calibrate). We will happily send you an email to notify
you when it ships.
Thanks again for your order!

[Editor's note: it is not appropriate to post personal contact information of someone else on our web site, even if one feels it is justified. I have removed Cynthia's address and phone number. Please, all members please be responsible. Apparently, Cynthia included such information in a response to this customer, but that doesn't provide license to post this on the internet.
In general, I don't personally approve of vendor bashing on electro-music.com. I'm leaving this post, which I think is distasteful and inappropriate, because Cynthia has personally indicated to me her strong belief in free speech and all that. So I am respecting her values. --mosc] |

Hmm- tricky one.
FWIW, It took 7 months before I received my Wogglebug from Wiard, and like you, I had very little correspondence from GR too.
I presume you have phoned Cynthia?

| If you look at the Cyndustries Yahoo group you'll find many people who are trying their best to be nice about it but are quite pissed off about perpetually slipping delivery dates. Things are always just around the corner but some of these people have been waiting for years. Taking people's money and not shipping the product is not a defensible position. |

I should point out here that we are talking cottage industries here.
My Mother-in-law passed away recently- no one noticed, because I never told them _________________ ACHTUNG!

Sure four months, six months, but at some point the goods must be delivered and it's really getting out of hand over there. Excerpt from the list:

Re: [The_Cyndustries_List] Re: status
try FOUR years...
wondering about the QLPG too. i know they have their hands full but the QLPG have been
pushed back again and again and again.
it's frustrating when modules are available in new formats before orders that were placed, in
some cases, 2 years ago.

Cottage industry or not, I´m with our most excellent Bananaplug here.
However, I don´t know much about the Cynthia biz so I don´t feel like joining in on this butt kicking session. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

| Yeah, enough said. Don't mean to touch off a bashing thread, just didn't want him to feel like he was being singled out. The stuff is great but I'd recommend ordering things that are in stock. |

Hello, Oscilaris...
Your last post was a month ago...
Seems Cynthia has been shipping a lot of stuff this past week... was anything sent to you ?
I get the impression she has very little help ... on top of all the manufacturing/testing/packaging she has to go through.... and RoHS... etc.
My VC Tabla arrived recently... paid for last August.
When I see photos of whopper modulars...
well, just how many decades does it take to assemble them when even one module can easily take 6 months to over a year to ship ??
Please keep us informed !

There was much grousing on the Cyndustries Yahoo list in April. More recently Cynthia's posted a couple messages to the effect that production is in full swing and "close to a hundred different orders" went out the door.
No messages on the list yet about anyone having received those shipments but, to be fair, it's only been a few days. Let's hope. If I ever get my QLPG I'll post a review. |

Of course, when someone finally ~does~ get their order,
do they log-in here to say so....? Probably not.
(also thanks a lot for posting my address and pone number to the world)
Not Cool.
To be fair, everyone gets their orders, including you!

I removed as the editor the address and phone number in the first post of this topic.
I don't want our web site to be used for bashing of any type, especially of another valued and respected active community member. Cynthia's business is a small operation, like electro-music.com. I personally understand some of the things that can step in and side track one's best-laid and well-intended plans; sickness, of oneself and of loved ones, is just one of many such possibilities.
If you want to deal with a strong commercial vendor, then buy from Roland or Yamaha, but in any case, please keep one's bitching elsewhere.

Just for the record, I got my Quad LPG and am quite happy with it.
See: http://electro-music.com/forum/post-222995.html#222995
Cynthia did some major catching up and many of the unhappy people posted in another forum that they received their orders in January. |
