I can't get my MP3 demos to attach so I put some demos here:

Let me know what you think.

Very nice bass an pad sounds. The pad sounds big and threatening, with some nice motion in the timbre. I like how dry the bass sound is.

The Barbarella patch is indeed like an old Sci-Fi sound.

The SnowStormSweep sounds a lot like a Jarre sound, it's at the start of a song, can't remember which one exactly at the moment.

Very nice patches! Smile

Funny, about the patch Snow Storm sweep, I was listening and thinking "sounds like a Virus", and then I read the description that it was exactly your intention... So you convinced me at least! Smile

Thanks guys. These are the first sounds I've made in a very, very long time. Haven't used my Andromeda much.

SnowStorm is based on the Virus TI patch called (I think) Snowfall. It's part of the RAM patches that come with OS 2.7b and I think is a a Virus Snow ROM preset. It was harder than I thought to try to port it because the knob values (and filters) between the 2 synths are so different. I ended up doing it by ear. Sounds similar but not exact. The Andromeda patch is more aggressive. The Virus is a little smoother and almost polite...if that makes sense. My TI fried itself and is out for repair otherwise I'd do an A/B.

This one was a happy accident. I was making a pad and started playing around with mod routings and got off track from what I was doing. Every time I hear it I think of the movie Barbarella for some reason. It's not a very useful patch but I like the way it sounds.

You're welcome. I'm going to work on some more this weekend. I'd like to encourage more people to share...it's kind of dead around here...
