Radio paged fixed?

mosc

There have been people who have noticed that if they leave our radio page, http://electro-music.com/radio , on the screen while using the chat that memory is used up and the chat starts to run very slowly.

The radio page uses relatively sophisticated object oriented interrupt driven AJAX techniques that I don't claim to know very well - just enough to be dangerous.

Anyway, at the friendly urging of others I've attempted to fix it. I found some logic errors and what looks like incorrect coding. I just fixed all this. Since this page looks exactly as it did before, I really can't tell if it is really fixed or not, but I'm hopeful.

If you use the chat while listening to the radio streams, please try keeping up the radio page. Let me know if you see any improvement or not.

thanks

Howard, thanks ... just to remind folks while testing that you may have to test a bit longer than say 1/2 hour (depending on teh computer and how much memory or resourses it has) ... When I saw this symptom occur last evening as I did my show, it was over a period of 1.5 hours that things got slowly worse or "slower" .... The symptom being that as you type characters into the chat client, there was more and more of a delay between typing and associted characters being displayed. Sending the line did not appear to be problematic.
