Hi all,

I recently attempted to fix some pots on my Nord Lead 2 with jumping intermittent values (which i was able to diagnose thanks to some 'easter eggs' on this site) by using deoxit on the encoders. however, the physical response has now gone from nice and firm sweeps to very loose on the treated encoders, maybe i used too much? Sad

is there any way to reverse this? I was thinking of opening up the Nord and trying to swab the pots with a cloth to try to remove moisture, but im afraid of causing further damage. maybe they will return to form naturally Question

welcome axm

I hope it will be normal soon, but I think you have to clean it a bit. You won't damage the synth opening it, unscrew the Panel board and clean the pots, if possible. Be carefull with the LED's!

Maybe you have to replace the pots, which only time will tell. This can be done by a good service centre.

Keep your fingers crossed it will go away by itself...

Wout

Cheers Wout for the reply Smile

I'll try opening it up and cleaning the pots a bit.

I don't know if it's worth sending to a service center yet because all the pots are functionally working ok, it's just more of a feel issue. not the end of the world!
